About this role:
As a key member of the Sales and Partners Strategy & BizOps Team, we’re looking for a strategic business partner to work closely with our APAC Partner Sales Team and Middle East Direct Sales & Partner Sales team. This net new role will not only drive business critical initiatives to optimize the performance and efficiency of the team, but it will also help to execute Confluent's GTM strategy with our top APAC and Middle East Partners. In providing in-depth business insights and structured recommendations to the leadership team, you will empower Confluent to meaningfully scale and achieve our shared revenue goals.
What You Will Do:
- Perform business analyses and provide data-supported recommendations to execute on high-impact strategic projects and mission-critical initiatives (e.g. partner evaluation & prioritization, incremental investment proposals, new route-to-market entry, etc). One of the key success measures in this role will be when you become a trusted advisor to your stakeholders and your perspective is sought for additional thought leadership.
- Help measure and execute on strategies that’ll enable our system integrators to build Confluent practices and unlock accelerated growth via strategic triangulations with CSP and ISVs.
- Coordinate annual fiscal planning efforts including strategy development, defining KPIs, territory coverage, headcount planning, target setting and ROI modeling.
- Analyze performance data to assess the health of the business, investigate recent trends and create multi-level dashboards to improve productivity and optimize resource utilization.
- Deliver high-quality executive dashboards and storyboards to senior executives.
- Manage partner operating rhythms across sales pipeline reviews, demand generation and leadership business reviews (QBRs).
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree.
- 6+ years of experience in go-to-market analytics, sales strategy, business operations or management consulting in enterprise software or open source industry.
- A background in a cloud consumption-driven business model or partner ecosystem strategy & analytics role similar to this one is highly desirable.
- Comfortable with navigating ambiguity, are highly efficient and excel at toggling between strategic thinking and detailed execution.
- Ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple business facets, including finance, data science, business systems, sales enablement and professional services.
- You’re effective at influencing people across all levels of the organization and building trust with senior sales executives.
- Excellent communicator with proven ability to distill complex problems, assess multiple viewpoints and recommend the best path forward to various stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate diplomatic and solution-oriented interpersonal skills with colleagues and other partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set transparent expectations with stakeholders and agilely respond to shifting priorities.
- Advanced modeling skills with Excel / g-sheets and ability to read/modify SQL queries for self-sufficient ad hoc analyses.
- Strong operational background with Salesforce.com CRM functionalities.
- Endless curiosity and a desire to dive deeper into understanding the business. Demonstrated passion for information and business intelligence. You’re a self-starter with a productive curiosity and a positive attitude.
- Experience in working with people across the globe and appreciation of the cultural nuances when working in a global, remote-first environment.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Tableau, CRM Analytics or other BI/analytics tools.
- Salesforce Admin.
