We are newly seeking a Warranty Surveyor (Building Inspector) to service new build development sites in West Midlands/Shropshire and surrounding areas. The position requires a strong working knowledge of building regulations and the ability to undertake site inspections to assess both quality and the cause/effect of building defects. The organisation inspects a vast array of developments, ranging from one-off £500k self-builds to £300m HRB’s, so there is certainly opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects. Suitable applicants will ideally come from a Structural Warranty / Building Control / Building Surveying / Building Inspector / Clerk of Works background. The Client will consider those with transferrable site construction skills, providing you can also display a genuine eagerness to learn.
Person Specification:
- Part or Full member of professional organisations: RICS / CIOB / CABE / Similar
- Prior experience in a Building Inspector, Building Control or Warranty Surveying capacity is preferable
- In depth technical knowledge of Building Regs and other relevant construction standards
- Ability to undertake site inspections to assess quality & the cause/effect of building defects
- Full UK Driving Licence
