Job Title: Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk
Location: Warrington
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm & Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm
About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised finance professional to join a busy, friendly head office team in Warrington. In this role, you will provide crucial support to the existing accounts team, taking ownership of day-to-day transactional tasks.
This is a fantastic environment for someone who enjoys a steady, reasonable volume of processing and wants to work within a close-knit, welcoming office. The accounts and office team works collaboratively with the wider admin and customer care departments, making a positive personality and strong team fit just as important as your technical experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and efficiently.
- Processing and checking receipts.
- General purchase ledger and accounts administration.
- Matching invoices with supporting documentation.
- Ensuring all financial records and transactions are kept fully up to date.
- Assisting with general finance and admin tasks as required to support the wider team.
About You
- You are organised, reliable, and comfortable processing a reasonable volume of transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
- You can hit the ground running and take pressure off the team with minimal hand-holding.
- Previous experience using Xero is highly advantageous, though not essential if you are comfortable with IT and pick up new accounts systems quickly.
- You are a team player who will naturally slot into a vibrant, friendly office environment.
