A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team. This role would be particularly well suited to a Psychology Graduate, Education Graduate or related graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a primary school environment.
About the Role As a Primary Learning Support Assistant in Chelmsford , you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs
Support children with accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities
Assist pupils with developing their confidence, independence and engagement with learning
Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development throughout the school day
Build positive, trusting and consistent relationships with pupils
Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and wider pastoral team
Help create a calm, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
Encourage positive behaviour and promote good learning habits
Monitor pupils' progress and provide feedback to teaching and SEN staff where appropriate
