Job Type: Part time (4 days per week) or full time (5 days)

Pay: Β£16.69 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and group learning support to learners aged 16-19.
  • Support learners who may have experienced disengagement from education and help them re-engage positively.
  • Assist tutors in the delivery of classroom activities and learning programmes.
  • Encourage participation, attendance, and positive behaviour within the learning environment.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with learners, acting as a mentor and role model.
  • Support learners to develop confidence, resilience, communication, and employability skills.
  • Support learners with social, emotional, and wellbeing needs where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with tutors, support staff, and external agencies to ensure learners receive the support they need

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting young people, preferably aged 16-19.
  • Be passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
  • Have experience in an education, training, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.
  • Understand safeguarding responsibilities and the needs of vulnerable young people.
