You’ll have the opportunity to implement process improvements and provide expert technical advice on payroll calculations and financial reconciliations. If you have a background in payroll and experience using HR & Payroll systems, ideally on Workday, we invite you to bring your expertise and passion for excellence to our team and help shape the future of payroll operations at AXA.

You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide guidance on technical payroll queries, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and AXA policies.
  • Assist the Payroll Lead in optimising the payroll system and implementing necessary updates for legislative changes including UAT testing.
  • Offer technical expertise for resolving People Team queries related to payroll, pensions, benefits, and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll reconciliations and reporting to AXA and external bodies.
  • Support the People Team with processing company benefits, annual bonuses, and statutory reporting.
  • Assist AXA’s International Mobility population with payroll services, invoicing, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of payroll statutory and legal requirements, including PAYE, statutory leave, and pensions administration.
  • Understanding of payroll and pensions procedures.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel.

  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage own workloads effectively.

  • Experience in using Workday HCM and Payroll.
  • Familiarity with P11D and Benefits in Kind processing.
