This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join the team, covering sites across England and Wales. While overnight stays are occasionally required, these are infrequent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, modification, maintenance and repair of a wide range of plant, equipment and ancillaries, ensuring the company's fleet remains safe, reliable and in excellent working condition.

Key Duties As a Plant Fitter, your main responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to carry out manufacturing and modification work to the required specification
Diagnosing faults and carrying out maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty construction plant and associated hydraulic systems
Attending customer sites to undertake breakdown repairs, servicing and general maintenance when required
Using a range of appropriate hand and power tools to complete maintenance, repair and fabrication tasks
Carrying out welding and fabrication work as required
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
Supporting the continued reliability and availability of the company's plant and equipment fleet
Requirements of the Plant Fitter To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
A full UK driving licence
A Level 3 qualification in Plant Maintenance or an equivalent engineering qualification
previous experience working with heavy plant or construction equipment
Strong fault-finding, maintenance and repair experience
Experience working with hydraulic systems
Experience working with JCB and CAT machinery
Welding and fabrication skills
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Although this is primarily a workshop-based role, you will be required to travel to sites across England and Wales to attend breakdowns and carry out maintenance and repairs. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential.
This role is commutable from Derby, Burton upon Trent, Swadlincote, Tamworth and Leicester.
