Contract Type: Full time, Permanent.

Salary: £27,000 - £36,000 dependent on experience.

Start Date: Immediate, depending on availability.

Hours: 40 hour working week. (Some weekends may be required for client events).

Location: Wells, Somerset / hybrid with two days per week in the office.

About the role

  • Supporting on delivery of consultancy projects and working with the company's Senior Consultants and Consultants across multiple advisory and reporting projects.
  • Writing and supporting the development of both technical assessments and reports as well as high level summaries.
  • Liaison with clients, project partners and key stakeholders.
  • Collect, clean, and analyse sustainability-related data from a variety of sources, large or complex data sets e.g. key impact areas may include, energy, waste, materials, transportation, supply chain and expenditure.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure data collected is accurate, relevant and complete and prepared for use for sustainability reporting. Create dashboards, charts, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively and provide insights to clients on their sustainability performance.
  • Working to tight deadlines and delivering high quality work for a range of high profile international clients.
  • High level of quality assurance scrutiny and due diligence.
  • Presenting assessment results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to extract usable data from complex and sometimes nebulous datasets.

Who You Are

If you have a good grasp and feel confident in your carbon accounting abilities, have any experience setting sustainability strategies and have a passion for the music, media and entertainment industries, then you may just be a good fit!

A sustainability professional or carbon analyst with at least one years experience in a similar role who is ready to join our team and support on a number of projects that have deliverables including; GHG scope 1-3 assessments, carbon reduction plans, research for sustainability strategies.

The right candidate for this role will have knowledge and experience of sustainability, environment and carbon assessment, ideally with some experience or familiarity with both the media and entertainment industries.

What You’ll Need

Experience & Knowledge

GHG Calculation and Reporting

  • Understanding and applied experience of environmental and carbon emissions auditing, Greenhouse Gas Protocol and carbon emission conversion factors (DESNZ/BEIS, EPA and other CF datasets).
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in the environmental sustainability sector and/or an analytical background is preferred; this could be a STEM background, data analyst etc.
  • Detailed understanding of data collation, formatting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of recognised standards and reporting structures such as ISO 14064, SECR and GHG Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard among others.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, carbon neutral and net zero frameworks such as SBTi, UN SDGs.

Technical Abilities

  • Good analytical and mathematical skills - confident interpreting, extracting and presenting datasets into clear outputs.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft/Google suite and experienced with Excel/Google Sheets, creating complex spreadsheets to apply a range of functions for analysing large datasets. Experience in data visualisation tools would be a bonus!
  • Experienced with technical report writing.

Professional Certifications

  • Membership of IEMA or similar professional body, or a desire for working towards membership and continuing professional development.

  • Confident communicator; able to engage with clients, subcontractors and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive; able to prioritise a variable workload and work independently at times.
  • Good initiative, comfortable working for regular periods of minimal supervision.
