At MSV Housing, we're committed to making sure our customers have good quality safe homes and our Gas Qualifying Supervisors are key to making this happen. Reporting to our Gas Compliance Manager, you'll lead and manage the Heating Team, providing clear direction, training and support to deliver against business objectives. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, repairs and empty homes services, ensuring full compliance with gas legislation and regulatory standards. Working collaboratively across Property Care, you'll drive efficiency, value for money and a "right first time" approach while ensuring all KPIs are consistently achieved.
In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.
- Lead and coordinate a customer-focused heating, servicing, and empty homes service, ensuring value for money and high-quality delivery.
- Monitor and manage performance against KPIs, taking proactive action to address underperformance and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee service compliance, ensuring adherence to health & safety, regulatory, audit, and legislative requirements.
- Manage resources, budgets, and out-of-hours services to deliver efficient operations and maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Provide leadership and quality assurance through inspections, certification sign-off, stakeholder engagement, and effective complaint resolution.
What we are looking for:
- City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement, with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams to achieve performance targets, build effective partnerships with management and key stakeholders, and work collaboratively in fast-paced team environments to deliver excellent service.
- Strong commitment to compliance, quality, and safety, with experience working within regulatory frameworks, maintaining safe working environments in line with health and safety legislation, and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timescales.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with proven interpersonal abilities, a professional and approachable manner, and the self-motivation to effectively manage and prioritise demanding workloads while working under pressure.
- Customer-focused and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services and maintaining excellent standards of customer satisfaction.
This is a hands-on role at the heart of the service that MSV delivers to our customers, so your effective communication skills and ability to understand with empathy the diverse needs of our customers will be key. You'll be based in the communities we serve and will work under minimum supervision and as part of a team using a flexible approach.
We're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. As this job is based within our property care team where you'll be entering the homes of our customers, a basic criminal records background check (free of charge to you) is required. A criminal conviction does not necessarily stop you from working with us. All decisions regarding convictions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
We offer a range of great benefits including:
- Company vehicle.
- 33 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, and a holiday buy scheme.
- Company pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions.
- Company funded access to a health cash plan, where you can claim back costs of everyday health treatments such as optical, dental and much more.
- Enhanced sick pay with up to 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay.
- Health and Wellbeing Support including an employee assistance programme, free counselling, mental health first aiders and numerous wellbeing initiatives.
- Life assurance subject to being a member of our company pension scheme.
- Learning and development to support you to develop the skills you need to fulfil your role and progress in your career.
- Commitment to Equality and Inclusion with employee network groups covering anti-racism, LGBTQ+, disability and long-term health conditions, carers, and menopause.
MSV are committed to supporting you to balance work and life, including with any caring or parental responsibilities you might have, and have a range of flexible working options and wellbeing support available to all colleagues to facilitate this.
