Customer Services Officer, Faire, Isle of Lewis
18.5 hours per week, Permanent position
£15,378 to £15,967 per annum (inclusive of £1,498 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)
The Customer Service Officer is part of the Comhairle's Customer Service Team responsible for providing a high-quality customer service on behalf of the Comhairle. Officers based at Faire provide the community alarm service for members of the community who may require emergency assistance.
The Officer will be expected to:
- Respond to calls with the minimum of delay
- Determine accurately callers' needs
- Make immediate contact with relatives, identified contact persons, or professional agencies such as General Practitioners, Police, Fire or Ambulance where appropriate
You must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of effective customer care and essential elements of office procedures. You will hold the qualifications of standard grade English and Mathematics or equivalent. It is essential that you are IT literate with efficient digital skills, and have experience of dealing with customers in a polite, friendly and positive manner.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
