Cheadle, Manchester – 6 month duration – Pay rate negotiable – Inside IR35
We are looking for a Work Package Manager to work for our defence client on complex anti-submarine warfare electronic systems. You will have a proven background in managing the delivery of electronic and firmware projects. This will initially be based onsite but can move to hybrid working with 3 days onsite 2 days from home once settled in.
Responsibilities:
Your role as a Work Package Manager is to deliver complex and priority projects to time, cost and quality to drive the design, development and delivery of electronic sub-systems, from concept through into full production.

Requirements:
A background in engineering development of complex firmware or electronic units.
Knowledge of Project Management best practice: Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management and Earned Value Management.
Proven ability of delivering significant project/programmes on time and to cost.
Proven ability of project management across the various phases from project conception and initiation through manufacture and qualification to customer delivery.
Individuals with excellent communication skills able to influence others to their way of thinking.
Organised with an eye for detail and a sense of pride in what they deliver. xrnqpay

Additional Information:
This role will require the successful candidate to be capable of gaining a UK MOD Security Clearance to SC level prior to starting, with a requirement for UK Eyes Only due to the classification of the project.
