We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop-Based Plant Fitter to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, and more.

Responsibilities
As a Workshop-Based Plant Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Ensuring all equipment is maintained to the highest safety and operational standards.
Maintaining accurate service records and documentation.
Collaborating with the team to ensure efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, preferably in a workshop environment.
Strong knowledge of plant machinery, including excavators, dumpers, rollers, and telehandlers.
Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will involve:
Inspecting and diagnosing machinery brought into the workshop.
Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
Testing equipment to ensure it is fully operational before returning it to service.
Collaborating with colleagues to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Keeping the workshop organized and ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition.
