We are currently looking for experienced Shuttering Carpenters for a long-term project in Newtons Cove, by the sea

Project consists of 2 x 5-storey reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings.
The successful candidates will be experienced in formwork and reinforced concrete frame construction and be able to work safely and efficiently as part of a site team.
General Duties Erecting, assembling and dismantling shuttering/formwork for reinforced concrete structures. Setting out and constructing formwork to required dimensions and specifications. Working with traditional timber formwork and proprietary formwork systems. Forming columns, walls, beams, slabs, cores and other RC structural elements. Reading and working from drawings and specifications. Measuring, cutting and fixing timber and other formwork materials. Installing shutters, supports, walers, braces and associated temporary works. Checking levels, dimensions, alignment and plumb before concrete pours. Stripping and cleaning formwork following concrete pours. Working alongside steel fixers, concrete gangs and other trades. Maintaining a clean and safe working area. Following site RAMS, health & safety requirements and supervisor instructions. Carrying out other reasonable duties associated with shuttering/formwork and RC frame construction.
Experience Required Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter on RC frame projects. Previous experience working on multi-storey reinforced concrete structures. Competent with traditional and/or system formwork. Ability to interpret construction drawings. Good understanding of concrete pours, construction joints and formwork sequencing. Ability to work safely at height and around temporary works. Good knowledge of site health & safety requirements. xrnqpay Reliable, punctual and able to commit to the full 12-month duration.
