Do you have strong experience with contaminated land and brownfield sites and a passion for promoting a sustainable future? If so, this latest environmental role could be the role for you. Our client is a major multidisciplinary firm looking to bring in a Senior Ground Contamination Consultant to join the Site Solutions team at their London office. You will be supporting sustainable change that benefits both nature and society whilst boosting the client's own strategic ambition through high quality, diligent assessments. This position will allow you to work across a variety of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transport and property.
Responsibility: As the newest Senior Consultant in ground contamination, your responsibilities will be focused around providing sustainable solutions to contaminated lands, managing your own project portfolio and committing to the creation of a sustainable society. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out Phase 1 and 2 environmental and geo-environmental site assessments.
- Carrying out site investigations and drafting subsequent proposals and tenders for projects.
- Contributing to remediation appraisals, strategies and verification reports.
- Taking responsibility for own projects, including delivery, time management and budgeting.
- Act as a mentor for junior team members, supporting and advising them where possible.
Requirements: To be considered for this position, you will need to meet as much of the following criteria as possible:
- Experienced with carrying out phase 1 and 2 assessments.
- Experience with planning and supervising site investigations.
- Project Management experience.
- Competent with numbers and software such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Hold a full English driver's license.
- A membership to a relevant professional body such as IEMA or being a Chartered Environmentalist.
