We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our East West Rail team based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be supporting all the commercial aspects of the East West Rail project.

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for cost control, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety. Your day to day will include:
Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through contract placement and control
Leading, managing and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
Producing and submitting valuations, claims, budget monitoring, and contract performance data
Assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
Maximising cash flow through control, measurement and valuation of work
Valuing work executed by sub-contractors and certifying interim and final payments
Developing strong relationships with clients, supply chain and stakeholders
What are we looking for?
This Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity could be a great fit if you have:
A Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment, ideally on major infrastructure, highways, or construction projects
Strong commercial awareness with a good understanding of industry-standard contracts and cost management principles
Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other commercial reporting tools
Outstanding communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple priorities effectively
