This role will require the technician to provide technical support to the customer Control room support staff whilst the train is in service. This role is an excellent opportunity for a Rolling Stock Engineer that is looking to make their next career step up to a Control Room Technician. You will need to demonstrate the ability to provide technical support to resolve performance or in service failures.
Interface with customer control room staff
Managing in service failures during service hours
Monitor live ORBITA feed to identify emerging issues, Responding to ORBITA alerts
Complete remote investigation of in-service failures using ORBITA, OTMR, CCTV and other available systems. Provide 'pack' to technician / hi-level technician called to the train or investigation at Depot
Raise work orders on EAM system
In addition to several planning duties, you will coordinate activities relating to in-service failures by providing rapid technical support to the customer operations teams.
Shift Pattern
Panama Roster - 5 person (includes a cover week).
Salary
Annual Salary - Β£55,000
Qualifications / Skills
HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering is desirable
Good Level of EMU Technical Knowledge
Previous Rail Experience either through Maintenance or Train Riding
Ability to present an electrical engineering solution to the customer
Knowledge of computer-based asset management system to record and close out work completed.
System Knowledge (Orbita)
IT skills including Excel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills. xrnqpay
