Job Type: Temporary (4 months)
We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant for a 4-month temporary position at a manufacturing company based in Rochester. This role is perfect for individuals who are efficient, detail-oriented, and have a knack for managing financial records.
Day-to-day of the role
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Help with bank statement reconciliation, as well as accounts invoice and ledger functions.
- Review and process expenses and payroll documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Maintain orderly financial filing systems.
- Record and process transactions and ensure that the ledger is up-to-date.
- Support the accounts team in daily office needs and managing general accounting functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with finance regulations.
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Sharp time management skills.
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
