Salary is negotiable depending on experience and expected to be between Β£26000 and
Β£29000k pro rata

Apple Recruitment Services is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established professional services organisation based in Belfast City Centre for a Receptionist to join their team on a 9-12 month fixed-term contract.


This is an excellent opportunity for a friendly, professional and highly organised individual who enjoys working in a busy front-of-house environment. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients and callers, providing a welcoming and professional service while supporting the wider team with a range of administrative duties.


The organisation is open to considering candidates seeking either full-time hours or part-
time hours across 3 or 5 days per week.
Historically, this has been a fantastic place to work, with many long-serving members of staff and a supportive, collaborative culture.

Whilst initially offered on a fixed-term basis, there is potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.


The Role


This is a busy and varied role requiring excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will be responsible for managing a busy reception area, handling a high volume of telephone calls, welcoming visitors, preparing meeting rooms, processing incoming post and supporting the wider team with administrative duties.


Key Responsibilities



  • Meet and greet visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.

  • Answer a busy telephone system, take messages and redirect calls appropriately.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing post.

  • Receive, open, scan and distribute post and documentation.

  • Prepare meeting rooms for meetings, client visits and events.

  • Operate Microsoft Outlook to send and receive internal communications.

  • Record incoming and outgoing documents, parcels and deliveries using databases and spreadsheets.

  • Maintain reception and communal areas to a high standard.

  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures and visitor records.

  • Provide general administrative support to the wider team.

  • Filing, scanning, photocopying and document management.

  • Assist with additional administration duties as required.


About You


The successful candidate will possess:



  • Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front of House, Customer Service or Administrative role.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.

  • A professional, friendly and approachable manner.

  • The ability to work effectively in a busy environment with multiple competing priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive and positive approach to work.

  • Willingness to provide additional cover during holiday periods when required.
