Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00

We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. Responsible for the monitoring of product quality and hygiene standards across the packing centre to ensure they are customer and company compliant, including assistance in sampling and swabbing where requested.

  • Manage and provide appropriate support, training and resources for the QA team, taking into consideration risk assessments, quality standards and health and safety.
  • Provide support to all QAs to ensure they are complying with quality standards.
  • Manage the QA team attendance, cover availability, and attendance levels.
  • Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods are appropriately controlled, via HACCP, to ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards.
  • Ensure that relevant QA documentation and databases are updated and maintained.
  • Trend site non-conformances with customer and company standards (product quality, packaging, food safety, hygiene, documentation, traceability, best practice, and dress code).
  • Manage planned duties, and ensure checks and tests are conducted on time by the QA team.
  • Investigate customer complaints, retailer non-conformances, and Defra downgrades, ensuring timely response and corrective actions put in place.
  • Monitor and trend pest management on site, taking on board recommendations and ensuring swift close out.
  • Manage the site QA’s, including personal development reviews (PDR’s) and development of the team.
  • Devise a suitable succession management plan for the team.
  • Drive Quality Culture with the site management team.
  • The management of sampling requirements for the site relating to salmonella testing.
  • The management and communication to the site management team of raw material sampling, poor flocks, and grading procedure requirements.
