Property Legal Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Property Legal Assistant to join a busy and supportive team.
This is a full-time, office-based position, suited to someone with previous experience in residential conveyancing who is confident supporting matters from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide administrative and legal support across a range of residential property transactions, including:
- Assisting with new client instructions and onboarding
- Preparing and managing client documentation
- Supporting the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Preparing and issuing contract documentation
- Ordering and reviewing property searches
- Liaising with clients, solicitors and other parties by telephone and email
- Assisting with exchange and completion processes
- Preparing completion statements
- Assisting with the receipt and transfer of funds
- Supporting post-completion matters, including registrations and SDLT submissions
- Providing a high standard of client service at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in residential conveyancing
- Understands the conveyancing process from start to finish
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Is confident communicating with clients and professional contacts
- Has strong attention to detail
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Is able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Provides a professional and approachable service to clients
