We are looking for an autonomous & hands-on Operational Sourcing Specialist to join the Western Europe Procurement team, supporting our UK plants in Hindlow, Whitwell and Hartley.
The successful candidate will be based across both the Hindlow and Whitwell sites, working closely with operational, maintenance, engineering and technical teams.
This role combines operational sourcing, spot buying and transactional procurement execution.
You will manage local sourcing activities and purchases up to £200k, execute purchase orders, run RFQs, negotiate with suppliers and support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for local spend categories.
Execute purchase orders in systems.
Manage spot purchases and sourcing projects up to £200k.
Conduct RFQs and competitive tender processes.
Negotiate commercial, contractual and service conditions with suppliers.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships and monitor performance.
Act as the local procurement focal point for UK sites, providing support and guidance to stakeholders.
Execute, support and improve Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
Maintain high data quality standards within SAP, Coupa and procurement systems.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and procurement governance.
About You Bachelors degree with a relevant professional background.
Minimum 5 years experience in procurement, sourcing or operational purchasing within an industrial environment.
Experience managing tenders and negotiating medium to high-value contracts and sourcing projects.
Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience using SAP and procurement platforms such as Coupa.
Fluent English (additional languages are a plus). xrnqpay
