About The Role
Were looking for skilled and versatile Multi Traders to join our Direct Services team, helping us deliver a high-quality repairs and maintenance service to our residents.
Reporting to a Lead Technician, youll work within our Reactive Repairs service, carrying out a wide range of repairs across our homes. This will include multi trade tasks such as basic plumbing, carpentry, patch plastering, tiling, and other general maintenance works.
Youll manage your own workload day to day, working efficiently to meet service targets and delivering work right first time. Customer satisfaction will be at the heart of everything you do, and youll ensure residents are kept informed throughout the repair process.
This is a field-based role, and youll be required to take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota on a fair and planned basis.
You will cover a patch which covers - Portsmouth, Hampshire, Horsham and Southampton
About you
Youre an experienced Multi Trader with a broad skillset and a strong customer focus. Youre confident working independently across a range of repairs, but also enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for residents.
You will need:
A proven track record of working within a Direct Labour Service or similar repairs environment, with customer satisfaction at the heart of service delivery
Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 and/or Level 3) or equivalent experience across multiple trades
Experience delivering a range of repairs and maintenance works across different trades
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, building regulations and safe systems of work
The ability to diagnose faults and deliver a first time fix wherever possible
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work professionally with residents, including those who may be vulnerable
A flexible, proactive approach and a strong one team mindset
Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends with reasonable notice and take part in a 24 hour emergency call out rota
You must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six points and with no serious motoring offences in the last 10 years (i.e., CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, MR, TT). You must also have a minimum of two years driving experience. We will undertake driving licence checks on the successful candidate as part of our standard pre-employment checks process.
Successful candidates will be subject to a basic DBS check.

Youll be part of our Direct Services Reactive Repairs team, delivering a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service to our residents, including emergency, routine and responsive works.
