Following a significant new contract win, the company is expanding its finishing and packing operation and is looking for hands-on supervisors to support this growth.
Youll lead a team of Packing Operatives and Team Leaders, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
The role
Leading, motivating and developing permanent and temporary production staff Communicating daily priorities, workloads and performance targets Ensuring packing and finishing schedules are achieved Monitoring productivity, quality and departmental performance Coordinating workflow with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Fulfilment teams Managing temporary labour requirements and liaising with agency providers Maintaining accurate production, stock and traceability records Ensuring products are correctly packed, labelled and prepared for dispatch Supporting stock counts, inventory accuracy and fulfilment activities Driving continuous improvement across the department Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping Supporting audits, investigations and corrective actions Ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards, including ISO, FSC and PEFC What Im looking for Previous supervisory experience within finishing, packing, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing Experience leading both permanent and temporary workers Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills The ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Good knowledge of quality procedures and health and safety requirements Confidence using Microsoft Office and operational systems A proactive, positive and hands-on management style Willingness to train as a forklift operator, First Aider, Fire Marshal and Safety Champion This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business during an exciting period of investment and growth, with genuine opportunities for development and career progression.
