A new opportunity for an Operations Administrator is available with my client who are a leading pumps and rotating equipment manufacturer. Their ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience within an engineering, manufacturing, OEM, industrial environment.
Operations Administrator role:
- Keep accurate operational, order and delivery information within the ERP/business management system.
- Monitor aftermarket order progress, key dates and outstanding actions.
- Support project, procurement and production teams with status updates, trackers, reports and follow-up actions.
- Identify potential delays, issues or information gaps and escalata them to the appropriate manager.
- Support operational, project, procurement and production meetings with accurate information and administration.
- Maintain action trackers and ensure agreed actions are followed up to completion.
- Coordinate information between departments to improve visibility and flow of work.
- Support continuous improvement of operational processes, reporting and system data.
- Ensure information is accurate, timely and readily available to support effective operational decision-making.
Operations Administrator requirement:
- Ideally educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths, or relevant practical experience.
- Proven experience in an operations administration, coordination, manufacturing administration or similar role
- Proven work experience within an manufacturing, engineering, OEM or industrial environment.
- Proven experience supporting operational, project, procurement or production teams.
- Working knowledge with ERP/MRP or business management systems.
- Good level of written and numerical literacy.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident coordinating multiple activities, priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
- Good understanding of manufacturing, production, procurement and order fulfilment processes.
- Able to identify potential operational issues and escalat them appropriately.
- Ability to maintain accurate and confidential business information.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of the importance of cost, quality and delivery.
