The successful HSE Engineer / Health and Safety Engineer will work closely with project managers, construction managers and field teams to drive high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance across live construction and site activities.
To be considered, candidates must have hands-on construction HSE experience within sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power, heavy industrial, industrial services or field-based engineering projects. This is essential. A purely manufacturing, corporate or office-based Health and Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, EHS Advisor or QHSE background without construction exposure will not be enough.
The role will involve leading risk assessments, HSE audits, site inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions, while also taking ownership of HSE systems, mobilisation checks, contractor compliance, training, ISO standards compliance and ongoing safety improvement across the Global Field Services team.
This is a highly visible role where you will be expected to lead from the front, both on-site and in the office. You will need to be comfortable working in live construction, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, industrial installation and field service environments, dealing with multiple stakeholders and maintaining high standards across fast-moving international projects.
What they are looking for:
- Must have strong HSE / Health and Safety experience within construction environments
- Must have worked on industrial construction, mechanical installation, site-based engineering or field service projects
- Must have experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, combustion, power generation, EPC, energy or heavy industrial sectors
- Must be confident carrying out audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Must be comfortable working closely with project managers, construction managers and site teams
- Must be willing to travel internationally as required
- NEBOSH or equivalent is highly desirable
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 would be highly beneficial
This role offers the chance to join a well-established global business where safety is taken seriously and where your input will have real impact across major projects.
