We are looking for an experienced Senior Life Safety Commissioning & Technical Supervisor who enjoys a varied role, can manage multiple priorities and is comfortable taking ownership from installation through to commissioning, handover and client support.

As Senior Life Safety Commissioning & Technical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of life safety systems from installation through to commissioning, testing and handover.

Salary up to £55,000 per annum 20 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays and your birthday, increasing annually to a maximum of 25 days after 5 years Comprehensive company health insurance Company van, fuel card, tools and uniform Ongoing professional development and manufacturer-led training Health & Safety training and development Monthly company lunches Quarterly company events A varied role with the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership A supportive, collaborative and growing team The opportunity to develop your technical and leadership skills within an established business Key Responsibilities Supporting the installation and delivery of life safety systems, including: Fire Alarm Systems Evacuation Alert Systems Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) Systems Disabled Refuge Systems Toilet Alarm Systems Commissioning, configuring and testing life safety systems Carrying out fault finding, diagnostics and technical troubleshooting Interpreting technical drawings, schematics and project specifications Ensuring systems are installed, tested and commissioned in accordance with relevant industry standards and client requirements Supervising, mentoring and supporting engineers and subcontractors on site Leading works on high-rise developments, new builds and occupied residential and commercial buildings Working closely with installation teams, project managers, design teams, main contractors and clients Carrying out site surveys, inspections, testing and system handovers Liaising with clients and other stakeholders to coordinate works and resolve technical issues Completing commissioning documentation, reports and certification accurately Maintaining accurate records of commissioning activities, system configurations and test results Providing on-site and remote technical support when required Delivering client training and supporting the production of handover documentation Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company and Health & Safety requirements Qualifications & Experience We are looking for someone with strong practical experience and a proven background in life safety systems.
Essential: 5 years' practical experience within the fire and life safety industry Strong hands-on commissioning and fault-finding experience Good working knowledge of BS 5839 Experience with C-Tec, Apollo and AOC systems Experience commissioning and troubleshooting fire alarm and associated life safety systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications Strong technical problem-solving skills Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities CSCS/ECS card or equivalent SSSTS or SMSTS Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio Experience using CRM systems Desirable: FIA certification LPCB or BAFE experience/certification Experience with leading fire alarm platforms such as Advanced, Morley and C-Tec Knowledge of system integration and IP-based networking Experience working on high-rise residential developments Experience supervising engineers and subcontractors Manufacturer-specific commissioning qualifications The Person We are looking for someone who is: Technically confident and highly competent Hands-on and able to lead from the front Professional and customer-focused A strong communicator who can work effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Able to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving A natural problem solver who takes ownership of issues Comfortable working independently while also being a strong team player Positive, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality work Why Join Us?
