People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.
This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £18.78 per hour, 4 on 4 off, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business.

- Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment Day-to-Day Duties: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Completing Yard shunting duties, vehicle movements
- Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
- Unitt movements on the yard
- Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy
- Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
- Assisting with loading and unloading when required Essential Skills: As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
- A minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience
- A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences
- No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes
- Good spoken and written English
- Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
- A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation
- Strong communication skills Desirable Experience: xrnqpay
- Previous experience driving commercial Category C+E vehicles
- Previous shunting experience would be advantageous Training:
- Driver assessment required prior to starting
- One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
