The RoleReporting into the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function while contributing to wider accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Your duties will include:
- - Purchase ledger and supplier management
- - Bank reconciliations
- - Credit control support
- - Accruals and prepayments
- - Assisting with monthly management accounts
- - Budget monitoring and reporting
- - Month-end activities
- - Project accounting support
- - Financial analysis and reporting
- - Supporting finance process improvements and system enhancements
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to bridge the gap between an Accounts Assistant role and a more commercial Assistant Accountant position.
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- - AAT Level 4 or be actively studying towards it
- - Experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant role
- - Strong reconciliation and purchase ledger experience
- - Knowledge of accruals and prepayments
- - Good Excel skills
- - Strong attention to detail
- - A proactive attitude and desire to learn
- - Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, evolving business
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, project-based businesses or management accounts support would be advantageous but is not essential.
