Specialist Water Hygiene / Treatment Company are currently looking to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer.

The successful candidate will be traveling to client sites, to undertake water hygiene and PPM work to ensure customer compliance.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of hot and cold-water systems and legionella control.

Client is open to location and happy to receive CVs from experienced engineers, who are happy to travel within the role.

For the right candidate, the client can offer training into more technical water systems and career development.

Candidates will be expected to travel within the role and will be based in locations that have good access to the North East, including; Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Bishop Auckland, South Shields, Hexham, Washington, Whitley Bay, Alnwick, Consett, Ashington and the surrounding areas.

Experience

  • Experience carrying out a range of l8 duties to a varied client base.
  • Experience working in a water hygiene engineer / environmental service technician role.
  • Practical knowledge of legionella guidelines e. g. ACo P L8
  • Good time management skills.
  • IT literate.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Delivering legionella sampling and temperature regimes in accordance with ACo P L8 guidelines.
  • Servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs).
  • Cold and hot water storage tank inspections.
  • Tank cleans and chlorination works.
  • Showerhead descales.
  • Flushing of used outlets.
  • Updating logbooks and completing reports of tablet-based systems.
