The predicted salary is between 42000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Location: Milton Keynes, UK

Salary: Β£42,000 – Β£50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30. However, operational needs may require some flexibility, including participating in a weekly on-call rota to provide support for the factory.

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

This is a great opportunity to join the Engineering and Maintenance department as a Factory Maintenance Expert – Trainer during the exciting expansion project of the BPUK site. We are seeking individuals with expertise in mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics to support the technical integration of existing and new equipment.

As an FME – Trainer, you will play a key role in both the technical performance of our production lines and the development of our operational teams. Combining hands-on engineering expertise with knowledge transfer and coaching, you will help build skilled and autonomous teams capable of operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining production equipment safely and efficiently.

You Must Be Able To Demonstrate

  • An understanding of production equipment and processes, with the ability to support their integration, optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on technical expertise in maintaining production line efficiency, including fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, repair activities and maintenance improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in delivering practical and classroom-based technical training across a range of engineering disciplines, including mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills to develop the technical competency and autonomy of operators and line personnel in equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • A commitment to people development, supporting stakeholders in identifying skills gaps and development opportunities.
  • The capability to develop, maintain and continuously improve training materials, work instructions and technical documentation.
  • The ability to manage maintenance resources to ensure availability whilst maintaining budget control.
  • A safety culture mentality, ensuring the promotion of and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Computer literacy and experience of using maintenance or production systems.

You May Be Able To Demonstrate

  • A Level 3 or equivalent qualification in an engineering related subject (Mechanics, Electrics etc.)
