The role of the Estimator Steel Fabrication will involve:
Estimator position overseeing a range of heavy & light steelwork projects
Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission, and handover
Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and estimating software
Manage and track tender opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups to maximise conversions
Engage with clients and contractors through site visits, technical input, and value engineering to support bids
Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers, and mentor junior estimators to strengthen delivery and capability
Oversee projects typically up to £10m in value
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator Steel Fabrication with:
Must have Estimating experience within the structural steelwork or related sectors (industrial doors, fabrication, temporary buildings, SFS, architectural metal, steelwork)
Ideal for a candidate to have experience dealing with a Main-contractor
Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site
Must be a hard worker thats ready to get stuck in
High levels of organisation xrnqpay
Computer Literate (Microsoft Office)
