If you are experienced in media relationship building, and want to develop serious advocacy campaigns, then this job is for you. To be considered for this role, the candidate must have a proven recent track record of placing media articles in leading UK and U.S. media outlets, as well as strong connections in the media circles.
Core Responsibilities:- Securing high-level publications in leading media for our clients
- Building media relationships
- Producing written content for clients (media articles)
- Briefing journalists on behalf of clients
- Relationship building with key influencers, media personalities and journalists
- Providing clients with political/media intelligence and insight, highlighting any implications for the client's business
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field: political science, economics, law, international relations, journalism, etc. Master’s Degree is a plus
- Previous proven experience in journalism (2-3 years), ideally in tier-1 media platform
- Recent track record in pitching and placing publications (including op-eds)
- Excellent writer/communicator
- Well networked in media (ideally, U.S. or UK), as well as policy circles
- Proactive/entrepreneurial mindset
- Ideally understanding of the following fields: financial services; geopolitics; data/tech/AI
- Makes things happen, is proactive and action-oriented
- Communicates complex ideas with clarity
- Public Affairs knowledge and/or experience
- When faced with an obstacle, thinks creatively of potential solutions/options
- Can form clear opinions and recommendations
- Enjoys a diversity of work
