The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 £ per year.

The driver has to have and fulfil the requirements to retain a full PSV licence due to the size of bus being driven. For this, the driver will be expected to undertake a MiDAS training course every 4 years as well as undertaking the 35 hours statutory training required to attain and keep the drivers CPC card.

The jobholder will undertake specified training within the unit's training and development plan in relation to the administration of emergency medication for clients who may suffer from epileptic fits. The driver will need to keep abreast of developing procedures relating to clients being carried in order to provide the client with a transport service; this knowledge will be gained with on-the-job training and statutory training.

The driver also needs to have a good local knowledge of the area to assist in making decisions in the event of a road closure; this will usually be gained through on-the-job training.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act, 2007. Therefore, it is an offence to apply if you are barred from working with children and protected adults. Successful candidates will require PVG Scheme membership for Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults.
