Morson Edge are looking for a Loading Shovel Driver in the Mountsorrel region, for a temporary position due to last circa 6 weeks (Extension possible).
The role is working on an Asphalt Plant, part of a Quarry, so candidate therefore need to hold MP Connect, or an MPQC (We can also support you with getting an MP Connect Card as well), additionally having worked in a similar role previously, within the Aggregates sector.
Successful candidates will have previously worked as a Loading Shovel Drivers / Wheeled Loading Shovel Operators, transporting materials safely and efficiently in a Quarry setting of similar, loading hoppers, moving aggregates and materials, from stockpiles to bins and loading materials. xrnqpay
Upon completion further work may be offered at different locations, based on client needs.
Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Operate the loading shovel in a safe and efficient manner
Transport materials to feed screens, bins and hoppers etc
Load and unload materials as required
Perform routine maintenance checks on the machine
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Report any issues or faults promptly
Candidates will ideally:
Previous experience working as a Loading Shovel Driver / Loading Shovel Operator
Hold a valid CPCS or NPORS Wheeled Loading Shovel Licence
Have an MP Connect Card (We can support with getting this quickly)
Have an understanding of health and safety regulations within construction aggregates
Be punctual, reliable with good communication skills
