About Volta

Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.

About The Role

WNTD is Volta's embedded RPO partner, running hiring across the UK and Europe from inside the business. We are looking for a Talent Associate to join our team at Volta and support hiring across its finance, legal and compliance functions. These teams sit at the centre of everything Volta is doing as it moves from launch into delivery. Hiring spans strategic finance, FP&A, project controllership, technical accounting, tax, legal, compliance, and SOX and internal controls, at levels from analyst through to director.

You will own the review of applications across these roles, screen candidates against what each role needs, and work closely with our Senior Talent Partners to make sure the strongest people move forward quickly. You will be the first conversation many candidates have with Volta, so how you run that process matters.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Review all applications across Volta's finance, legal and compliance roles in the UK and Europe
  • Work with the Senior Talent Partners to understand each role and what a strong candidate looks like
  • Assess CVs against the technical and commercial requirements of each role
  • Run first-stage screening calls to test experience, motivation and fit
  • Put forward well-qualified candidates to the Senior Talent Partners with clear, concise notes on each
  • Keep every applicant informed, with timely updates and outcomes at each stage
  • Keep candidate data accurate and up to date in Ashby
  • Share insight on application volumes, candidate quality and trends across the roles
  • Work alongside the wider WNTD team at Volta, sharing insight and best practice

What You Bring

  • Experience recruiting or screening for finance, legal or compliance roles, agency or in-house
  • The ability to read a CV quickly and judge relevant experience across areas such as FP&A, accounting, tax, legal and internal controls
  • Confidence running screening calls with candidates from analyst through to director level
  • Experience managing high volumes of applications without losing quality or pace
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with a clear focus on candidate experience
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system, ideally Ashby
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, investment or high-growth technology businesses is an advantage

What We Offer

  • You will join WNTD's embedded team at Volta, working as part of the business with the backing of a specialist AI infrastructure talent partner.
  • Competitive salary
  • A central role in building finance, legal and compliance functions from the ground up
  • Close work with experienced Senior Talent Partners, with a clear path to develop your career in talent
  • Support and development from the wider WNTD team

Equal Opportunity

WNTD and Volta are equal opportunity employers. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and make employment decisions based on skills, qualifications, experience and business needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other legally protected characteristic.
