ECS Resource Group is recruiting six Asset Returns Administrators for a large-scale laptop recovery project based in Wokingham.
Our client is recovering around 3,500 laptops from home-based staff. Each device needs to be collected, booked back in, recorded, unlocked and prepared for recycling. You'll join a small onsite team handling the full returns process, from arranging collections through to sending processed kit on to its next stage.
This is an admin and logistics role, not a technical one. If you're organised, careful with data and comfortable working through a high volume of tasks accurately, we'd like to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
Scheduling DPD collections from home workers across the UK
Booking in returned devices as they arrive
Updating the asset database (CMDB) so every laptop is accurately tracked
Removing BIOS passwords by following a set process: power on the laptop, enter the supplied password to unlock the BIOS, then shut it down again. Full instructions are provided.
Moving kit around the warehouse, mainly individual laptops or small batches, with some trolley work
Arranging onward shipments of processed equipment
Keeping clear records and flagging any missing, damaged or mismatched devices
What we're looking for
Experience in an administration, logistics, warehouse, stock control or returns role
Confident using spreadsheets, databases or stock systems, with accurate data entry
Able to follow written instructions step by step
Organised and comfortable working to daily volume targets
Happy to do light manual handling (laptops and trolleys)
Helpful, but not essential
Experience with courier booking systems (DPD or similar)
Experience with IT asset returns, ITAD or device refresh projects
Basic familiarity with laptops or IT equipment
