The Opportunity
Our client is an established B2B service organisation with a long history of delivery within a mature sector and a portfolio of long-standing enterprise clients. We are seeking a National Sales & Growth Director to lead a fundamental commercial refresh. This is a high-stakes role for a leader who thrives in challenging market conditions and has the tenacity to move a business model towards a more innovative, solution-led future.
The Role
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for the full commercial life-cycle, encompassing both new business acquisition and the strategic management of high-value client relationships. You will lead a multi-channel team of over 30 people across sales and support. You will be expected to move quickly to assess the existing talent and implement the data-driven structures necessary to capture market share, with key responsibilities including:
- Designing and executing aggressive strategies to win market share.
- Leading high-stakes, multi-year contract negotiations with sophisticated procurement teams where cost-efficiency and service differentiation are critical.
- Conducting a rapid assessment of the team to ensure the right talent and structures are in place to drive a high-performance culture.
- Implementing robust, data-led reporting and performance metrics to ensure accountability across all sales and retention activities.
- Working closely with operational leads to ensure commercial promises are delivered.
