What Is the Opportunity?

Our Cyber Underwriting team are looking for a high-impact Managing Director to lead our London Market and UK & Ireland underwriting teams, You'll sit at the heart of our Cyber portfolio and partner closely with our Head of Cyber to shape the strategic direction and sustained growth of the book.

Drawing on your breadth of market experience, you'll blend executive leadership with hands-on underwriting influence — building and developing a high-performing team while driving how we grow and differentiate across the London Market.

You'll set the tone on pricing and risk selection, provide senior oversight on complex and high-profile accounts, and act as a credible, authoritative market presence through broker relationships, thought leadership, and industry events.

With ownership of production, profitability and underwriting excellence, you'll report on portfolio performance and play a defining role in executing our Cyber strategy.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior leader with deep Cyber expertise and a strong footprint across Lloyd's and the wider London and UK & Ireland markets to shape portfolio performance and leave a lasting mark on the future of our Cyber business.

What Will You Do?

  • Implement long and short-term business strategies to effectively achieve profit and growth objectives for assigned locations.
  • Participate in the development of strategic business planning activities that are designed to increase the business unit's presence in the market; retain the appropriate mix of business; and achieve overall growth and profit objectives.
  • Participate in the establishment of underwriting and marketing strategies and standards that reflect local market competitive conditions and, at the same time, meet our growth and profit goals.
  • Direct all marketing and underwriting activities of Underwriters to ensure that productions and underwriting objectives with respect to profitability are achieved.
  • Marketing and underwriting responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Meeting with brokers to maintain and develop positive and productive relationships.

In this capacity, assures that our contractual commitments are met and our production opportunities are maximized.

Representing the company and underwriting strategy in the location(s) to brokers , employees and the community.

Working with other business units as appropriate to support market presentation objectives and seek out cross sell opportunities as appropriate.

Maintain the highest level of customer service.

  • Direct and manage the delivery of excellent account administration services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal resources (e. g., Distribution Claim, Operations, etc.) to ensure delivery of all related service to clients.
  • Hire, develop, and retain and excellent staff who will support profit, growth, and expense management goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
