Junior Accountant
Location: Finchley, London
Job Type: Full-time (initially office-based with potential for hybrid working)
We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our accountancy practice in Finchley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their accounting career to gain valuable exposure to a wide range of clients while developing their technical skills in bookkeeping and MTD/VAT.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts.
- Prepare bookkeeping records and VAT returns in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) regulations.
- Support the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Liaise with clients and respond to queries effectively.
- Support senior team members with day-to-day client work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT/ACCA qualified/studying, or a relevant Accounting & Finance degree.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
