Purpose of Position

As a Customer Insights & Strategy Lead, you will act as a trusted strategic advisor, helping customers solve complex business challenges through data-driven insight, analysis, and consultancy.

By combining Awin's unique data assets with channel expertise, you will drive customer growth, retention, and long‑term partnership value.

  • Key Tasks
  • Deliver advanced analysis and strategic recommendations that solve customer business challenges and drive measurable growth.
  • Translate complex data into compelling narratives that support executive decision-making.
  • Develop affiliate, measurement, attribution, and full‑funnel growth strategies tailored to customer objectives.
  • Track the impact of recommendations and identify opportunities to maximise implementation and results.
  • Customer Consultancy
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to assigned customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Leverage Awin's network, platform, and market intelligence to uncover opportunities for growth and optimisation.
  • Support high‑priority commercial situations including customer retention, renegotiations, GP growth initiatives, and complex customer challenges.
  • Expand customer understanding of the affiliate channel through insight‑led consultation.
  • Commercial & Business Support
  • Partner with Managed Services and Commercial teams on pitches, RFPs, strategic reviews, and new business opportunities.
  • Provide market, sector, and competitor insights that strengthen commercial proposals.
  • Serve as the "expert in the room" for data, analytics, and affiliate strategy conversations.
  • Capability Development
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Customer Insights & Strategy Executives and less experienced team members.
  • Support the delivery of training and capability programmes across Managed Services.
  • Champion best practices in data storytelling, customer questioning, strategic thinking, and presentation delivery.
  • Product & Service Evolution
  • Identify recurring customer challenges and insight gaps to inform product and reporting development.
  • Gather and communicate customer feedback to Product, Reporting, and Leadership teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase efficiency, scalability, and impact across the Customer Insights & Strategy function.

Key Responsibilities

  • 5 or more years of online marketing professional experience
  • At least 4 years experience in affiliate marketing across a range of verticals with a strong understanding of digital marketing and performance marketing channels.
  • Experience in mentoring junior team members
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with experience interpreting large and complex datasets.
  • Ability to convert data into actionable commercial recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering strategic consultancy to customers or senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of attribution, incrementality, measurement, and marketing effectiveness
  • Experience using BI and visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, or similar.
  • Experience supporting commercial pitches, proposals, or strategic growth initiatives.
