This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with specialist experience in substance misuse to secure a well-paid, flexible locum post. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions, you will provide expert clinical leadership and psychiatric care to individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, working across community, inpatient or dual diagnosis settings depending on the service.

What you'll be doing as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions: Leading clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with substance misuse and dual diagnosis needs Prescribing and reviewing medication as part of a recovery-focused treatment plan Providing clinical supervision and leadership to the wider multi-disciplinary team Liaising with GPs, recovery workers and other agencies involved in a patient's care Ensuring care is delivered in line with CQC and NHS/private provider clinical standards
What we're looking for in a Consultant Psychiatrist in Addictions: Full GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the specialist register (or eligible) Proven experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist xrnqpay within substance misuse / addiction services Section 12 approval desirable DBS on the Update Service Strong leadership and multi-disciplinary team working skills
