An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Admin Assistant to join our client as a permanent team member in their Barking office. This is a family-run business that has been established for over 100 years and would suit someone who works well as part of a team and thrives in a friendly office environment.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 GCEs or equivalent in 3 separate subjects including Maths and English, have excellent written and spoken English, excellent skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and good typing speed. They should also have the ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team and have a good all-round knowledge of administrative processes.
Duties will include:
- Switchboard and reception cover
- General typing
- Meeting and greeting visitors
- Maintaining accurate record and activity logs
- Issuing permits
- Fire Alarm testing
- Document/drawing control
- Producing operation and maintenance manuals
- Ad hoc general admin
Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm. Immediate start for the right candidate.
