As a Sales Assistant / Delivery Driver based in a brand new branch in Leicester you'll be responsible for:

  • Driving a 3.5T van delivering plumbing and heating supplies to our customers in the local area.
  • Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • Proactively contacting customers to build relationships and drive branch sales particularly focusing on customers with reduced or inactive spending.
  • Assisting with general warehouse duties including picking & packing customer orders, unpacking and putting away deliveries which will involve manual handling of heavy items e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
  • Ensuring high standards are maintained in the branch.

This is a full time permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and Saturdays on a rota basis 8.00am - 12.00pm.

  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Prior industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous Face to Face customer service is essential.
  • Prior warehouse experience would be ideal.
  • Willingness to work as a part of a team and to take on a diverse role.
  • Proactive and eager to learn, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • To be comfortable lifting heavy items.
