- £19.05 Per Hour Including Holiday Pay Description Millison Chase Limited is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 CE Driver for a 16 week fresh produce distribution contract .
The role involves collecting and delivering fresh produce between farms, packing facilities, RDCs, CDCs and distribution centres using refrigerated articulated vehicles.
Drivers can expect approximately 1 to 5 deliveries or collections per shift , with shifts normally lasting 10 to 12 hours .
Some early starts will be required .
The position is currently confirmed for 16 weeks , although there is the potential for the assignment to continue for the right candidate.
Pay and Progression Basic rate: £17.00 per hour PAYE Total rate including rolled up holiday pay: £19.05 per hour PAYE Weekly PAYE pay directly through Millison Chase Limited 16 week contract Potential for the position to continue beyond the initial 16 weeks Regular 10 to 12 hour shifts Responsibilities Complete fresh produce collections and deliveries Complete approximately 1 to 5 drops or collections per shift Deliver and collect from farms, packing facilities, RDCs, CDCs and distribution centres Operate refrigerated HGV Class 1 vehicles Maintain temperature controlled loads Complete vehicle and trailer checks Complete all relevant delivery paperwork Follow Drivers Hours and Tachograph regulations Requirements Valid HGV Class 1 CE Licence Valid Driver CPC Valid Digital Tachograph Card Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience Fresh produce or refrigerated transport experience advantageous Comfortable working 10 to 12 hour shifts Able to accommodate early starts Reliable and professional Benefits £17.00 per hour basic PAYE rate £2.05 per hour holiday pay calculated at 12.07% £19.05 per hour total including rolled up holiday pay 16 weeks of contracted work Opportunity for the assignment to continue for the right candidate Regular hours Weekly PAYE Workplace pension where eligible No umbrella companies Dedicated Millison Chase transport support How to Apply 16 weeks of HGV Class 1 fresh produce work available with the potential to continue for the right candidate.
