This role provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Data Analyst to work within Falkirk Council's new corporate data team. The team supports services across the Council to use data and insight to improve service delivery and outcomes.
You will work closely with Service Chief Officers and Service Managers to design, build and maintain Business Intelligence solutions. Your work will support operational management, service planning and strategic decision making.
You will play a key role in developing, maintaining and automating Power BI dashboards and reports. This will include analysing complex datasets and presenting insight in a clear and meaningful way. You will help ensure data is accurate, consistent and well understood.
Working across Council services, you will assess business intelligence requirements and help develop suitable solutions. You will support and contribute to projects that improve how data is used across the organisation. This will include contributing to technical design, project documentation and delivery.
You will work with colleagues within the Business Intelligence team to help manage and coordinate workloads. You will provide technical advice and support to others as required. You will also work in partnership with services on Council wide initiatives linked to Business Intelligence and data use.
You will have significant experience of building and analysing Power BI solutions using a modern data platform. You will have strong data analysis and problem solving skills. A high level of attention to detail is essential.
You will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience. You will have experience working with data in a public sector or complex organisational environment. The ability to communicate data insight clearly to a range of audiences is essential.
