Experienced bench hand joiners required by an established bespoke joinery company. Candidates must be able to read setting out/CAD drawings and have experience working with 3-phase machines and small electric hand tools. Experience with laminates, veneered boards, hardwoods, and solid surface materials is essential. You should be able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative, achieving quality finishing and accuracy in the production of various joinery items including bars, backfittings, door sets, reception counters, servery counters, and other manufactured joinery works. We offer very good rates of pay for suitable candidates.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the manufacture of individual or large pieces of bespoke joinery from CAD drawings or setting out.
- You will be issued with a cutting list, and all components may have been machined up, or you will be expected to carry out some machining yourself.
- You will then assemble and put together, including dressing down hardwood lippings to a variety of top finishes, which may include Forbo Nairn lino, laminate, and various veneers.
- Cleaning and filing down laminates to counter fronts, tops, and various other components in a process to complete the manufacture of the particular joinery item.
Qualifications:
You should be qualified as a joiner either through City & Guilds or NVQ level 2 & 3 in shopfitting or carpentry & joinery.
