We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a major civils infrastructure project based in Holywell. The role involves managing commercial aspects of civil engineering packages, including subcontractor procurement, cost control, valuations, and contract administration. You will work closely with the client and project teams to ensure financial efficiency and compliance with contract terms. This position requires strong knowledge of civil engineering works and the ability to manage a significant project budget over the remaining two years on site. The role includes a client-facing element and requires adherence to key industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractor quotations, orders, and payments
  • Monitor and control project costs and cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare and submit monthly payment applications and valuations
  • Administer contract change control processes, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on commercial matters
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards
  • Support the transition to infrastructure packages in the later stages of the project
