Location: Hereford with the flex to cover Worcester and South Wales
Hours: Full Time 44 hours per week (Mon-Fri) across 39 weeks.
Salary: Β£40,763 - Β£47,205 experience dependent

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting learners with complex physical disabilities, learning disabilities and communication needs.

About the Role
As a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist, you will:
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate specialist therapy programmes for learners with complex communication needs.
Manage your own caseload and support learners to achieve meaningful communication outcomes.
Complete complex assessments, including pre-college assessments and dysphagia assessments where appropriately qualified.
Design and oversee programmes delivered by Therapy Assistants and other colleagues across the organisation.
Provide supervision and support to Speech & Language Therapists and Speech & Language Therapy Assistants.
Contribute to annual reviews, reports, capacity assessments and multidisciplinary planning processes.
Deliver training, coaching and communication strategies to staff and key communication partners.
Promote a Total Communication approach and help embed communication support throughout the learner's daily life.
About You
We're looking for a motivated professional who is committed to delivering outstanding, person-centred care and support.
Essential Requirements
Degree qualification recognised by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Current HCPC registration and licence to practise.
Minimum of two years' experience in a relevant clinical field.
Experience of managing a caseload and working within multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of evidence-based assessment and intervention approaches.
Experience training, supporting or supervising others.
Desirable
Experience within specialist education or residential settings.
Experience working with learners with PMLD, ASD, AAC or acquired brain injury.
Dysphagia qualification and assessment experience.
Knowledge of Makaton, Signalong, BSL, Intensive Interaction or AAC systems such as Grid 3, Boardmaker or Widgit.
