We specialize in providing European logistic services to a wide customer base, handling everything from package loads of groupage to Gibraltar to STGO abnormal loads.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Service and inspect vehicles competently and report vehicles condition, safety, reliability, and performance (MOT).
  • Diagnose, observe, recognize, and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
  • Ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off.
  • Interpret and implement technical service instructions data, to ensure a repair or replacement component is replaced or repaired in line with manufacturers' instructions.
  • Carry out roadside repairs and recover defective or damaged vehicles within the terms of the law when required.
  • Fully comply with Manufacturer’s protocol and policies and safe working at roadside.
  • Draw the Workshop Manager’s attention to any faults that could make the vehicle dangerous or illegal if taken out on a public highway.
  • Protect all vehicles under repair against damage and inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair.
  • Attend recognized courses of instruction as and when required and assist in the training of apprentices upon assignment.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the working area and a presentable personal appearance, ensuring to meet health and safety requirements.
  • Report any broken or faulty equipment to the Workshop Manager.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Time served Technician with City & Guilds or Equivalent.
  • Diagnostics, Safety Inspections, Routine Maintenance, General mechanical ability.
  • Enthusiastic, Team Player, Flexible.

It would be advantageous if you had:

  • LGV IRTEC Inspection Technician.
  • HGV Licence.
