Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a busy and established business based in Havant on a temporary basis. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with strong transactional finance experience who is confident working across multiple areas of finance. Experience or knowledge of leasing would be advantageous, alongside excellent reconciliation skills and a strong attention to detail.
The Finance Officer Role:
- Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding and authorisation
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations and resolve supplier queries
- Raise sales invoices, allocate customer receipts and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor debtor balances and support credit control activities, including chasing overdue debt
- Prepare and post journals, including deferred and accrued income, maintaining accurate supporting schedules
- Complete regular bank, credit card, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations
- Assist with daily and weekly cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Support month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
- Assist with payroll reconciliations and posting payroll journals
The Ideal Finance Officer Candidate:
- Previous experience within a similar position
- Strong reconciliation experience, particularly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Knowledge or experience of leasing would be advantageous
- Good Excel skills and experience using accounting/finance systems
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
- Confident communicator with the ability to deal professionally with internal and external queries
